Cloud Storage/Back-up Tutorial – Part 1

I’ve decided to do an in-depth series discussing and showing my back-up/ remote storage system. It’s fairly complex in itself since changes are synced to offline copies of the cloud, some files are left on the cloud, my MobileMe iDisk comes into play, Time Machine and some third party software is used, and there is some long-term back-up done using encryption.

Take a look at part 1, which simply shows you the hardware and gives in introduction into the concept. Part 2 will feature the syncing aspect, part 3 will deal with Time Machine and back-ups and part 4 will handle long-term, high-security back-up.
