Candidates Birth Certificates
Thousands of anxious parents are currently engaged in a rush to secure birth certificates for their children following a recent directive by the government that no students would be allowed to register for national examinations without the crucial document. A random survey by Citizen TV found long queues in the office of the registrar of persons in Nairobi and other urban centers as some claimed they were queuing up from as early as four am. Meanwhile the Kenya National Examination Council has announced that the results of last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination will be announced on Tuesday next week. The government was wrong, you do not wake up one day, propose and implement a law without giving people time. It would have been adviceable to give this year’s national examinations candidates a bye and require all those registering from next forthwith to have a birth certificate. Kajwang only dreamt up the idea 3 weeks ago and it became law there and then. It is wrong.
I don’t agree with everything in this post, but you do make some very good points. Im very interested in this matter and I myself do alot of research as well.
